The beginning
This covered space came with the property when we purchased it in 2002. We park one car on the left, and the rest has been pretty useless ever since. The street runs parallel to the wall at the right.
Sand and bags of cement arrive.
More material arrives. Stones
Note that the red tile above the gate at right has been removed. It will be replaced more securely.
Tenches for foundations of two new walls
These trenches are about 18 inches deep. They were filled with cement.
Excavation for bathroom foundation.
The septic tank will go beneath here too.
Walls start up
Glass bricks included in the walls.
Wall going up.
This is the wall that will abut the parking spot.

At the far end you see the wall of the separate bath going up.
Bath at right.
Day 8
Day 9
Concrete, horizontal column installed just below tile roof and above the bricks. There is also a vertical one at the bathroom corner.
Interior
The stucco is going up on the interior walls.
Fuses
This had to be temporarily moved. It's the fuse box for all the electricity coming into the Hacienda.
Roof comes off
The roof/ceiling will be upgraded, and an additional level of wood added. Then the roof tiles will be put on top of that.
